The Dallas Bass Hookers Club held two – 1 day Tournaments on Saturday and Sunday March 4th on Lake Bob Sandlin and March 5th Cypress Springs. A mix of clouds and misty rain made the temperatures feel more like February than March. The weather made the fishing a little tough but thanks to the members that turned out to fish the events. A good turnout of 16 boats came out to fish the first day. When all was said and done the first day, the team of Carl Barrett and Greg Davis earned the win with a top weight of 12.97 pounds. Big Bass of the day was caught by Chris Fayson fishing with Crawford Webb, she weighed in at 4.92 pounds! Crawford Webb and Chris Fayson also finished second with 12.30 pounds with Diamond Rogers and Will Chambless round out the winners with a third place finish of 10.55 pounds.
The second day at Cypress Springs was rainy and cool making the fishing extra tough. The rain started at launch time and did not let up until weigh in at 2:30 PM. When the misty rain cleared away at weigh – in, Arthur Seals and Kermit Dow earned the win by weighing a 5 fish limit for 12.01 pounds for the victory. They capped their stringer with a 5.99 toad for big bass of the tournament. Crawford Webb and Chris Fayson earned 2nd place with 11.32 pounds. 3rd place went to Will Chambliss and Diamond Rogers with 9.43 pounds.
